Necro Missions/Quests
I just started playing a few days ago, I'm a Necromancer/Elementalist. I'm about level eight right now. I've done a few missions for Elementalist but I'm not sure where to find missions for new Necromancer skills. Any suggestions on where to find some/who to go to to get them from?

Which campaign are you playing in? I'm guessing Prophecies, but I don't want to assume.

Oh sorry, yes I'm playing in Prophecies. I found a mission from Undertaker Cortis that I'm trying to do but I keep getting killed on the way because I can't map out a route to get to where I need to be..
Are there any other ones I can do?

There's some necromancer quests available at Sardelac Sanitarium, south-west of Ascalon City - just follow the main path.
Also, if you keep on dying... Are you in a party? A team of 4 with henchmen should have little problems in Ascalon.

Sardelac Sanitarium... if you haven't been there, go there.
Also, Yak's Bend also has a bunch for Necromancer.

Yeah, I've got a full party of henchmen with me, too. I've got Alesia(the healer), Stefan(warrior) and Orion(the mage). I'm fine most of the time but it seemed that going west of Piken Square, there are a lot of charr that cheat on aggro and I end up with three or four on me alone. Then I die, Alesia resurrects me, I'm up for a minute or two and then I have another two or three Charr on me and I die again, making me suffer -30% performance so I'm basically forced to go back to Piken Square to get rid of it and start over again. It's really irritating.
But anyway, I'll have to check Sardelac Sanitarium. I haven't been there yet, nor have I been to Yaks but I'll definitely go check them out(I'm on right now, so I'll head in that direction), thanks. Any idea who in particular I should talk to for the missions?

Try carrying a longbow or flatbow, shooting at one enemy, then running back - luring him and his group with you. The charr are only really in groups of 3-4, but they can be closely packed and it's possible to pull several groups, overwhelming Alesia's ability to heal.
When fighting, go for Charr Martyrs and Shamans first, as they heal other charr, then the ranged charr next - Stalkers, Hunters and Flame Callers deal some pretty nasty damage. Leave warrior charr till last, whilst they hurt a bit, they're also really sturdy and take a while to pick off.
Also, don't forget Blood Magic - at this early stage of the game, throwing a few Life Siphons or a Blood Renewal around can really help your survivability.

Hm, I never really tried the ranged weapons being a Necromancer. I just basically worked with the spells and hexes and whatnot. I'll keep the next longbow I pick up and try it out. I usually do try to just attack one and lure that group over but as you said, the other groups tend to join in sometimes, too and that's pretty overwhelming. I've always gone after the shamans, martyrs, Ulodytes..etc.. first during any battle because I know they heal and it's pretty pointless fighting something that's constantly being healed, but thanks for the tip.
I use Blood Renewal quite often, as well as a few "heals" if you can call stealing health a 'heal', during just about every battle.
But thank you, I'll warp back to Ascalon and then head in that direction toward the sanitarium in search of Kasha and/or Munne.
Edit: sorry, one more question. How far south is the sanitarium? I've been as far south as Regent Valley, but that's about it. Is it a ways from there or is it pretty close?

All good advice above. But if you feel you're getting overrun, you should consider using minions (invest points in Death Magic & Soul Reaping). They will bolster your group and give you more time for effective casting.
Sardelac is right down the road from Ascalon City - it was Ashford Abbey in Pre-Searing.

I do use my minions from time to time when needed. =] THe only thing is that they don't seem to last very long. Sometimes they last a little longer than usual when Alesia heals them but usually we have to be standing still for her to realize their health is going down and heal them.
And alright, I remember where Ashfor Abbey was, thank you.

This should help you find Necro quests. There should be an icon where it shows "necro skill quests"

Well, if you follow the story, you get taken there automatically on completing the Nolani Academy mission.

I just noticed you're /E. A more helpful secondary profession would've been Monk, considering all. Anyway, the good thing about minions is that you can keep on making them. Just focus on getting your first kill quickly and the ball will get rolling.

I'm holding off on the main story line right now until my boyfriend is done playing Oblivion for today because we've been doing the main missions together. I'm just doing some Necro missions right now mainly to get more skills, and because I've been bored waiting for him to call me when our friend Mike leaves his house.

Damn charr are getting smarter every time I fight them..
I was on my way to Yak's Bend, about halfway between Piken Square and The Breach(also doing a mission that required me to kill some in a certain area), and every time we tried killing them, they'd all come after me instead of spread amongst my party. I'd die, get resurrected, run to the side to cast spells on a few while the rest of my party was fighting, and they'd all leave my party members and come after me instead, killing me within a few seconds. I swear they're getting stronger. Do they(get stronger)?

You should do missions rather than walking there directly; the missions are generally easier.
If you're lucky you may find a high-level character helping new players for free; if not you can still do them with Henchmen. But I know from experience that the missions are easier than trying to get to Yak's Bend via explorables.
Last word on Necromancers: They really shine in Guild Wars: Factions (actually, so do most classes) and have a lot of good minion spells for starter Canthans. And like every class (except Paragons and Dervishes) the best faces are in Guild Wars: Factions.
